Spring 2016

It's been a while since I've posted any updates. Gonna be honest with you...this spring has been a rough one.  In March I fell and dislocated my left shoulder - had to be taken to the ER in an ambulance and put under so they could fix my shoulder. I was laid off in April from a job I'd had over 7 years. Later that month I got a terrible case of the respiratory flu and managed to injure my back and right shoulder. Father's Day weekend I herniated my L4 and L5 discs and and MRI showed I have some other bulging discs. Seriously, is 2016 over yet?

In between all that, we have had some better days which is why I decided to go ahead and post an update. So many things - Easter, birthday parties, fun times with family - have happened in between all of the other craziness, so here we are. As I sit here with ice on my back, I present to you Spring 2016 :)

Megan's birthday

Megan loves "Frozen" so she picked that for her birthday theme this year.  We tried to have some fun with the theme and found lots of cute little items to make for her party.

For the food, we had little tea sandwiches, chicken tenders, chips, a mountain of crackers, an Olaf cheeseball, mac and cheese, veggies, and fruit. For dessert we had a naked sprinkles cake, ice cream (cookie monster, blue moon, and birthday party flavors), "ice cubes" (wafers dipped in blue dyed melted white chocolate chips), and Frozen cereal mix. Oh, and of course, frozen punch and "melted Olaf" water.

Megan and Chloe wanted to dress up as Anna and Elsa so I found some inexpensive costumes. Chloe even let me braid her hair - she really looked like Anna!

Happy 4th birthday, Meggie!
