Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

I hit the Farmer's Market with Dad and Chris last week and picked up my first few stalks of rhubarb. I usually make a crisp because they're easier and you can sorta throw them together, but a pie sounded really good to me so I thought I'd try making one. It was delicious! Nathan made the crust for me and put it in the fridge, but I rolled it out and did the decorating. I could eat these all summer! I love the combination of strawberries and rhubarb anyway, but add some good homemade crust and a *little* bit of vanilla ice cream....yum!

DeTour Village - 2013

We spent a full week in the Upper Peninsula at the family cottage the week of July 4th. Nathan's whole family was there so we had a lot of fun spending time together. The cottage is on the water right across from Drummond Island so the scenery is beautiful. Lots of sand, water, sunshine, and fresh air! We slept very well at night!
