Another relaxing day. Pancakes for breakfast. Chloe took a long morning nap and then around noon a few of us headed to the pool. It was a little chilly for us, but Chloe and I did put our feet in the water for a minute. Then all of us headed to The Villages about half an hour away. We had a late lunch at Olive Garden and saw The Villages. They drive around in "golf cars" so we stopped at the showroom. Walked around town and had a cold snack at Haagen Daz. Got home around 7pm and got ready for our big day at Epcot tomorrow.

Florida Day 2: Chilaxin'
Sunday morning brought a nice, relaxing day. Chloe got up at 6:30am which means mommy and daddy got up at 6:30am. We got Chloe her bath and breakfast. She sat in a high chair for the first time! Then all the adults had a big brunch. It was DE-LICIOUS! The menu: scrambled eggs, tator tots, fake bacon, fruit, toast, sticky buns, biscuits and (fake) sausage gravy, and juice. Amazing how much food you can eat when someone else makes it.
After brunch we sat outside in the warm 85 degree weather while Chloe took a nap. It was too hot in the sun so we moved the chaise lounges under the palm trees and read our books. That made us sleepy so we napped a bit, too. I know, life is rough :-)
We had a late lunch/early dinner at the Ice Cream Doctor (hotdogs and ice cream) and then went shopping at Bells because I needed some warm weather clothes. I had shopped before we left but everything up in MI was dark and made with heavy material. Down here every little bit of cooling helps! I found some tops, pants, and sandals.
The day ended with us checking our computers and watching television. We have a full week planned ahead so the two days of rest was perfect!

Florida Day 1: Leaving on a Jet Plane
February 26 -- on our way to Florida! My dad and step mom live in Florida for the winter so we are taking our long-awaited trip to the south to visit them for a week.
First day -- Chloe's first plane ride! She did so well! First of all, she loved the airport. We got to see lots of interesting people. Then on the plane there were more interesting people and noises. She slept during take off but it was short-lived because about 30 minutes later she was awake. We had fun reading books and playing with Zoe (from Sesame Street for those of you not "in the know"). She starred at people standing next to us waiting for a lavatory to open up. She sat on Daddy's lap and looked outside. We landed in Tampa early but Grandpa and Grandma were there waiting for us in the baggage claim. My aunt Robin and uncle Rick are also in Florida on a trip so we'll get to see them a few days!
For lunch we stopped at Sweet Tomatoes. Chloe fell asleep briefly while we ate, but then was ready to go. The two 30 minute naps ended up being all the napping she would do all day. She is so good-natured that she was in pretty good spirits anyway.
We got to our Florida home around 4:30 to unpack and relax a bit. Today was Daddy's birthday so we went to the Ice Cream Doctor for some yummy ice cream. (Chris' family runs the ice cream shop!) Mommy got some Superman ice cream in a sugar cone and Daddy had a birthday sundae. It was sunny near 80 degrees so it was a great way to end our first day!
