We debated whether or not to have a big bash for Chloe or just have immediate family over. Given the time of year and the potential for cold rainy weather, we opted to just have a small group so we could be sure to fit everyone inside the house.
My Dad and Chris helped decorate by blowing up balloons and putting up streamers. I got some adorable flowers at the market that matched her theme. For food we decided to go with comfort food so we had grilled cheese sandwiches, soup (tomato and potato), macaroni and cheese, black bean salsa, Hawaiian Potato Macaroni Salad, veggies, fruit salad, and chips. Thanks to our parents for helping to make a few dishes for us! For dessert we had chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and Chloe had a vanilla cake with whipped cream frosting. We also made ice cream so we had vanilla, chocolate, and maple butter pecan ice cream with homemade ice cream cones. For favors I made rainbow candied popcorn.
We had a great day! Here's the photo bomb from her birthday!
