Once or twice a month I brave the farmer's market with the girls. Our first big trip for the summer was short but productive. I got some rhubarb as my "new thing" (as in "I don't usually cook with this but I'll get it and be adventurous") and some other produce. Nathan loves farm fresh eggs so there's a lady I buy from each time we go. Nathan and I had been to one of the evening markets which is much smaller, so I told him I'd shoot some quick pics to show him what it looks like in full bloom. While I was taking photos a lady at one of the stands offered to take our picture. It's sorta funny because Chloe was being really cranky that morning so she wouldn't smile. It's SO unlike her to be that way so looking at this picture makes me laugh. And vow to go on at diet to lose the baby weight. And try to remember to bring the double stroller next time.
This is what I did with my rhubarb -- I made a crisp! It turned out to be so delicious! I'll be making it again this summer. I might even start getting rhubarb every time I go.
