Our Sunday up north was a short one. We got up and packed, then went downstairs to Sagamore's for breakfast. Our room came with free breakfast buffets at the hotel restaurant. We ate there Saturday and Sunday morning and were very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was there. They had an omlet station with a chef and about a dozen different add-on options. On the hot foods table there were yummy potatoes, cheese blintzes, french toast, biscuits & gravy, plus fresh fruit, a parfait bar, and bagels. My favorite was a waffle station where you could make your own. They had cups of pre-measured batter that you poured into the waffle maker, and then when it was done there was butter, syrup, strawberries, chocolate chips, and whipped cream to put on top. They had about 6 kinds of batter -- we tried chocolate one day and apple cinnamon the other. Great idea! The staff at the hotel and restaurant were really friendly and we had several groups of older ladies stop at our table and talk to Chloe. She loved seeing all the people, plus she got her own cup of water with a straw. I forgot my camera on Saturday and forgot to use my camera until the end of the meal on Sunday, but here are a few photos.
We took a few more photos up in our room before leaving and then we headed home. Other than a brief stop at a rest area, we drove straight home. In time to have lunch and afternoon naps at home. We had a great weekend and a relaxing family trip.
